Filing documents is tedious and it’s something genealogists must do. To make matters worse, it’s often difficult to find things after filing them away. At least it is until you learn this secret.
When deciding where to file a document, think about where you will look for it when you want to find it, and put it there. It’s that simple! By the way, this is true for paper files as well.
