On Tuesday, version 1.0.2 of the genealogy app for Apple’s iPad appeared in the app store. The new version is said to correct two bugs:
- age list sort order
- linking to pictures in the photo library
You can update your copy by downloading the update in iTunes and syncing your iPad.
Meg says
What they don’t tell you is that there is a charge for the update. Evidently every time you download applications that cost $ from iTunes, you are charged a small amount even for the update. The update cost me $2.00.
Ben says
Hi, Meg. Thanks for that information. I don’t have an iPad, so I hadn’t downloaded the update.
It seems wrong to me that you were charged anything for a bug fix release. I suggest you check with Leister Productions and the app store. I think there’s something configured wrong.

Frank Leister says
There is no charge for iPad updates. Period.
(Nobody, including Meg, has ever contacted us about any such a fee.)
Ben says
Hi, Frank. Thanks for clearing that up and for all your team does for genealogy. —-Ben >@<
