Update: Sadly, this coupon code no longer works. You can still get 40% or 20% off by clicking on this link.
I just found a 20% off coupon code. I tried applying it to the full and upgrade versions of Family Tree Maker 2012 and it worked!
The full and upgrade versions are already on sale with %40 and %20 off respectively. The code reduced the sale prices by an additional %20.
The price of the full version dropped from $31.99 to $25.59. The upgrade version, on sale for $23.99 became $19.19.
Here’s how to get the double discount:
Click on this link to visit the pre-sale page, click the “Upgrade info” link if you don’t need the full version, click the “Buy Now button”, enter this code, G5JXTRY, in the box labeled “Redeem Coupons” and click the “Apply” button.
Shipping and tax will still apply.

I purchased the upgrade last week, how can I apply the additional 20% today?

I would try contacting Ancestry customer support.

It looks like these prices are only for the PC version. The discount did work for the Mac version – took the discount off the $69.95 price which brought it down to $55.96. With my $5.00 shipping, my total price would be $60.96. Think this is the old Mac version. Couldn’t find anything about pre-sale for the Mac 2012 version.
Ben says
You’re correct. The pre-sale hasn’t begun for Family Tree Maker for Mac. I’ll post an article when it does.

Doesn’t apply at the UK version of Ancestry either – no pre-sale ordering.

Didn’t work for me.
Ben says
What happened when you entered the code and clicked apply?
Ben says
Hi, Marty. I just tried the code and it didn’t work for me anymore. I updated the post. —-Ben >@<
