Devising a system for storing family history files on your Mac isn’t as easy as it may seem. It seems easier to procrastinate, dumping all your files in one folder. That is until you have scores of files, or more. That’s when you begin to realize that it is actually easier to start out with a system of folders from the beginning. I’ll make it even easier for you.
How about I walk you through creating the system of folders and a method for sorting the files into them? I’m working on a series of screencasts—short movies of my computer screen as I walk you through a set of steps—on creating the main folder and sub-folders for people and places. I’ll announce each when published.
