RootsMagic 4 includes a nifty new utility called RootsMagic To Go. It makes it easy to take the RootsMagic program and your RootsMagic data with you on a USB flash drive (a.k.a. thumbdrive or jump drive). It simplifies installing RootsMagic 4 to the flash drive so that it can be run from there. Thanks to this little beauty, you can run RootsMagic on a PC that doesn’t already have it installed! This is perfect for work in distant libraries or other research venues with public computers. It also enables copying your RootsMagic 4 data to the flash drive before you leave and back to your computer when you return.
The preview version of RootsMagic 4 includes some nice additional features. The Date Tools have a calendar picker, the Place List has geocoding, and the fields on the Add Person dialog can be customized by clicking a link right on the form.
